Abstract:
The Kogut-Susskind Fermion matrix D is the decisive ingredient of quantum 
Chromodynamics, as even the pure gauge action can be expressed by the trace of
D^4. This is proven here in the first part. Secondly, an algorithm for the
calculation of the action is presented, making use of the diagonal structure of
the Kogut Susskind Fermion matrix.
